This policy explains how We R Builders Ltd (“we”, “us”), builders based in Meopham, Kent, uses the personal details you give us through this website, by phone or by email. We are responsible for those details under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you send the quote form on our Get Quote page, we receive what you type into it: your first and last name, your email address, the subject, your area and your message. We also receive the address of the page you sent it from.

If you phone, text, WhatsApp or email us, we receive your number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

How we use it

Only to reply to your enquiry, to discuss and quote for the work you ask about, and, if you go ahead, to carry out and invoice that work. We do this because you have asked us to (taking steps at your request before entering a contract) and because it is in our legitimate interest to answer the people who contact us. We do not send marketing, and we never sell or share your details for anyone else’s marketing.

Who handles it for us

• Web3Forms delivers the quote form to our inbox. Your message passes through their service on its way to us.
• Google Workspace holds our email, including the enquiries the form delivers.
• Vercel hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers record technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, to keep the site running and secure.

Some of these services store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK’s approved contract clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your request and any work that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records. After that we delete it.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tracking. If that changes, we will ask for your permission first and update this policy.

The share buttons in our photo viewer open Facebook, X or Pinterest in a new tab only when you press them; those sites’ own policies then apply.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, and ask us to correct them, delete them or stop using them. To do any of these, email info@werbuildersltd.com or call 07716 822 940. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have used your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would like the chance to put things right first.
